3 ways for daily ease & flow
Ease and flow. We all want it, right?! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Sure, grunt and grind is part of life. But without ease and flow to lubricate one’s life juices, it can all seem like hard work and no fun.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We NEED to find our ways for ease and flow. This is where we find ourselves being response-able. This is not a call to bypass. It is a call for being real with what is, and with what could be.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Here are three fine reasons to generate more ease and flow in your day to day.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1 OBSERVE, AND BE CHILL.
If there’s tension or edginess within or around you, seeing that for what it is is a great start. The next step is to be calm about what you’re seeing. Observing and ‘seeing’ what’s alive with a spirit of curiosity and okay-ness, without animosity or resistance, can bring through the clarity and flow you need.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2 WORK WITH THE CYCLES & PATTERNS OF NATURE.
Too often, the willpower of the modern human mind overrides the natural cadence and rhythm of our life flow. We can train ourselves to ‘hear’ the drumbeat of life, and to move with it. This looks like being active in summer and quiet in winter. And like operating in networks & nodes in your local community to address global issues. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
3 REST.
When we’re stressed, tired, overwhelmed and overstretched, our system doesn’t have its fullest capacity to be adaptive and responsive - as is required for the arts of ease and flow. Take a power nap when you need one: less than 20 mins will help avoid the groggy feels. Have a day off, regularly, where you have no agenda but to play in ease and flow. Set yourself up for a good night’s sleep by downing devices 2 hours before bed; replaced by low-lit meditation and wind-down time. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Oh, a bonus point. DO WHAT SPARKS JOY. Seriously, the deep wellspring of joy will show you the fluid ways to move, even if it’s a little spark that gets you through a treacherous patch 💜🌻
